Tommy Martelle (sometimes spelled Martell in the early years) was one of the most successful female impersonators of the 1920’s. In 1923 his career skyrocketed with his musical, "The Gay Young Bride. Photo is trimmed, measures appox: 4.5’ wide x 7.25’ high. Handbill has creases. The photo showsblotches when held diagonally to the light from being pressedagainst the glass in a frame.
