The Space Shuttle Atlantis flew on its fourth mission, the 29th for the space shuttle program, to launch the Magellan probe to map the planet Venus. Launched in May of 1989, the five-member crew of Atlantis spent 4 days in orbit before returning to a landing at Edwards Air Force Base in California. At the last minute the landing runway was switched due to crosswinds. This DVD contains a collection of material from the STS-30 flight, including video highlights and computer-generated ...Venus flyovers generated from the Magellan data.
