This is a WW2 US Army Air Corp Force AAF E-Z Cushion Pilot Officer Crusher Cap w/ Badge. Leather half strap around front of cap is intact and whole. Brass button holding strap in are intact and in excellent condition. The sweat shield inside cap had deteriorated. The wool top material is free from holes and no stains. The insignia is complete, well attached and unpolished. The officers Initials is written in two places underneath the leather liner inside. The EZ Cushi...on is embossed in the leather liner at the front. There is also on the underside of the leather a Diamond shape with the letter R. The cap was stored in a closet and is bent from storage. (Not a permanent issue if you wish to straighten) The leather strap has lost its stitching; one for 4 3/4" and one for 2 1/4". The cap was purchased at an estate sale here in Amarillo. According to the young lady who checked me out, the office was Lonnie C. Redus. He was a physician after the war.
