Up for your consideration is an old silver medallion of Jose de San Martin. The medallion was improperly polished, probably by the previous owner, leaving the surface with many scratches. Engraved, Dio a Tucuman gloria y escuela, su vida. Escuela de pureza y valor. On the back reads 1820 - 20 de Junio - 1920. Stamped PLATA on the edge, I have no idea of the silver purity on the medallion. Weight 85 grams approx, and mea...sures 2 3/8" diameter by 1/8" thickness.
