Up for sale is a true trophy, the mega rare key to the small size Federal Reserve Notes. It is a Series 1950-E Chicago Star Note. Just the 1950-E printing itself is well known as a major key with only 3 districts printed and a very short run of roughly a million notes per district. Star notes for this series are almost never seen as only a minuscule number would have been printed. Currently PMG only has 5 known in its population report for Chicago.
The note grades a nice Very F...ine in my opinion. Shows some circulation but is completely problem-free. Still has clean paper with some crispness, sharp corners and edges, and good color on the printing. Please check scans and judge for yourself. Grab this while you can, Friedberg has this note priced at $300 VF and Bank Note Reporter has it at $200. And for good reason.
