Here is a Rare Prototype GENERAL ELECTRIC GE G10 Germanium Power Rectifier in nice condition (SEE PHOTOS).What a great find!!!!The item as you can see from the photos is presentable.The G-10 was an early prototype that was offered in pilot scale quantities from October 1951 according to its advertising "The Truth about Transistors" in Tele-Tech for May 1952 and in a two page spread in Tele-Tech for January 1952 "These rectifiers are now in pilot production." B...ut the G-10 was never commercialized.Finis Gentry recalls “The G10 Rectifierwas a germanium rectifier about the size of a quarter and about 3/16'thick. The case was made of copper withthe anode insulated from the cathode by a rubber O ring. By November the old design had been replaced by a sealed version as shown in the last photo.
