Vintage Prince Classic Graphite Tennis Racquet - Boron 110 4 3/8
Item History & Price
Reference Number: Avaluer:820119 | Brand: Prince |
Grip Size: 4 3/8” |
This is a rare, high end, top of the line Prince space age oversize composite model from the good old days before wide body light weights when racket technology was more aesthetic, ergonomic & power control balanced. Originally, this frame retailed for $500 back in the 70s. This racket, which is becoming a collector's item, can't often be found in mint shape like this with hardly any scratches due to generous head tape placed on top of a bumper guard. Con...structed of a combination of graphite and boron. Endorsed and wielded by John Newcombe during his '84 USO doubles run with Fred Stolle, and also used by Kent Carlsson. The Prince Boron was supposed to be Prince's technological tour-de-force in the mid-1980's, and also the ne-plus-ultra status symbol tennis racket, intentionally. It features a full-length split leather cover, with matching keychain/zipper pull. And an bridge crossbar (one more than the Prince Graphite's extra crossbar).
This was preowned but never used, absolutely brand new. Buyer pays for shipping and would be emailed a proof of receipt.
