This is an all original 1938 Zenith table top radio, model 6-S-223. Well some of the tubes have been changed, but the chassis, the speaker, dial, knobs, speaker, etc. are original. It even has the original speaker fabric. There was some minor damage to the case near the lower right hand corner and on the speaker but they have repaired (see pics 7 and 8). It is more noticeable on the close ups but hardly noticeable all when looking at the over all unit. Everything is full oper...ational on it. All the tubes work, the dial and all the knobs move easily. I did have some trouble tuning an AM station in when I took these pictures but it may need an antenna or a slight adjustment to the tuner; it tries to home in on a station.It is a beautiful restoration of a somewhat rare old radio. Because it is not overly large it is a great show piece in any home. It is 20 inches wide, 12 inches tall and 10 inches deep. It has some light scratches from age and use but they have refinished and waxed. It's serial number is R47722. All in all it is a very nice, operable radio, though it is being sold 'as is'. I will carefully pack it so that the tubes are well protected but take care to remove all packing materials before turning it on. Any packing material that is left around the chassis will start a fire if not removed before hand. I will also pay for insurance on it in case any of the tubes are damaged in transit. If the buyer prefers another method of shipping than USPS, I will drop ship at any shipper of the buyer's choice. I only charge the cost of shipping, no handling charge.
