Item History & Price
Reference Number: Avaluer:8211261 |
Philodendron furcatumis an outstanding, rare and near-threatened... terrestrial tropical aroid nativeto NE Ecuador and western Colombia. It is closely related to the recentlydescribed P. lynnhannoniae from the same general area. It has glittering, semi-quilted leaves and a creeping growth habit. It is somewhat particular asto conditions, preferring deep shade, intermediate to very warm temperatureregimens with high background humidity. While otherwise not too fussy, it doesprefer good quality water with additional soluble calcium feeding from time totime. Unlike almost all otherterrestrial philodendrons, this species is suitable for growers with limitedbench or growing space because of its slowly creeping and offsetting habit andsince mature size is quite modest. A great addition to any collection on warmtropicals. Probably suitable for large vivaria with enough height toaccommodate a young adult plant.Shipping: Plantswill be shipped via USPS Priority Mail with tracking number for physicaladdresses within three working days of receipt of payment, weather permitting.72 hour heat packs are available for an additional USD 5.00 each.
