Original Description:
This is more than just a great looking vintage mantel clock - it's a General Electric model 430. On the top is an engraving for Major Frank Geiser and Battery C 107th Field Artillery Regiment US Army 1920-1941, so it's also historical memorabilia. The clock did keep accurate time for 24 hours, but I do not know if it will stay accurate over time. I have no idea if its been refurbished. It's not in perfect condition as you can see some wearing. The glass front is a little loos...e. When running I noticed a ping (more mechanical then a chime) every now and then, but I could not tell you the frequency. Perhaps every ten minutes, but unsure if it was intended to or if that's its working noise. There was a tone being emitted that was barely audible, but nonetheless there.Shipping included in the asking price.
