Vtg Yellow Native Gold Nuggets Horn & Crescent Moon Brooch Pin Pendant Alaska
I believe these have a 10K base but it is not marked as such. It is layered with gold placer nuggets. The center stone appears to be horn. Weighs 7 grams on my digital gram scale, and is a little larger than 2 inches wide across the horns of the moon, and at least one inch wide. Beautiful vintage possibly antique gold brooch or pendant. Placer gold is any natural gold nugget that has neither bee...n refined nor changed in any way. Most placer gold is only about 80 percent gold, with the remainder made up of silver and other metals.
