RARE Vintage Dickerson Lap Steel Electric Guitar W Matching Dickerson Amplifier
Item History & Price
Reference Number: Avaluer:827361 | Brand: Dickerson |
Type: Electric |
This is a RARE vintage Dickerson lap steel electric guitar with WORKING original Dickerson amplifier in perfect working condition. Best guess is this one was made in the late 1930’s through early 1940’s.Tested and sounds awesome. Original tuners, original plastic Processed Pearl Lumarith finish (a pearl grayish/green color, completely intact on both guitar and amp), steel guitar volume knob works fine and turns freely. No case.Amplifier is completely original with plastic Processed... Pearl Lumarith finish and Dickerson brand on the front of the amp. Sound is awesome - simply plug it in and let warm up. There are no knobs, switches, etc. One (1) input jack on the back of the cabinet. I believe the amp is model S6. The 3 tube circuit produces 3 watts and drives a 6" speaker. A few different preamp tubes were used in these including a 6SF5 and a 6C5. The power tube was a 6F6 and the rectifier was a full wave rectifier tube, like an 83V, 5V4, or a 5Y3. On some early models, a small battery bias cell was used to apply a negative bias to the preamp.
