James Sadler was founded in 1882, in Burslem, Stoke-on-Trent - the 'Heart of the Potteries' He soon made a name for himself producing fine earthenware teapots. a James Sadler teapot became synonymous with quality and good taste.
The beautiful teapot depicts a lady in a flowing crinoline gown, with alternating bands of pale pink and blue. With a matching blue bonnet, she has a painted detail face. The teapot h...andle is finished in pale blue.
The teapot is in good condition overall. There is no damage but on close inspection there is fine crazing to commensurate with age to the body and lid of the teapot.
Backstamp reads "Ye Daintee Ladyee Teapot / REGD NO 824871 / MADE IN ENGLAND"
The teapot measures 7.25"/18.5cms, to the top of the lady's head.
