Vintage hand-carved desktop sculpture of the Eagle, Globe and Anchor, the official emblem of the United States Marine Corps.
This large USMC figurine is made of a very heavy solid wood (or solid wood composition) with a gloss lacquer finish in a deep ruby color. The detail is excellent, from the "SEMPER FIDELIS" inscribed on the banner above the Eagle's head, to the ropes wrapped around the Anchor across the bottom. The base is inscribed "U.S. MARINE CORPS" on one side, and "U.S.M.C...." on the other.
It stands 8.5" tall by 7" across by 3.5" deep, and weighs 3.25 lbs.
