Original Description:
This is a beautiful, ebony inlayed, unique and rare reliquary crucifix handcrafted by nuns in Germany. There is a pin on the bottom that screws open and the back lifts up to reveal 10 semi precious stones wrapped in copper coil. The relics have printed Saints' names on top and are secured to a red cloth. The bottom 2 stones and saints are missing.
Measurements: Crucifix 4 3/4" x 2 1/8"
Material: Silver plated with ebony inlay
Stamp Markings: GERMANY Back side if eyelet Possib...ly 1868
THIS WAS WORN BY A PRIEST! THESE SORTS OF MULTIPLE SAINT RELICS ARE MADE BY NUN'S AND TAKE MANY HOURS TO CREATE.
