Field Marshal Herbert Charles Onslow Plummer [1857 1932] was a senior British officer of the First World War noted for commanding V Corps at the Second Battle of Ypres in April of 1915 and his overwhelming victory over the German Army at the Battle of Messines. Field Marshal Plummer later served as Commander-in-Chief Army of the Rhine and as Governor of Malta before becoming the High Commissioner of the British Mandate for Palestine. Listed for auction is the autograph ...of Field Marshal Herbert Plummer signed on a page. The autograph is signed ''Yours very sincerely Herbert Plummer'' in black fountain pen and the page was removed from a letter. The page measures 6.25 x 2.00 inches, it has trivial toning otherwise it is in fine condition. The autograph is authentic, uncommon and is a nice example of this prominent British commander.
