CINEMASCOPE campaign book 1954 all about the new process, with tons of Marilyn Monroe images!
An Original Vintage Campaign Book (measures 11" x 17" [28 x 43 cm]; 56 pages)
Film Description: Cinemascope, the 1954 special issue of "The Dynamo". THE ENTIRE ISSUE OF THIS MAGAZINE IS DEVOTED TO CINEMASCOPE (primarily from 20th Century Fox), which is described as the "Most forward step in the 59 years' history of motion pictures", and "What the greatest entertainment miracle of the ages has wrought". This magazine is PACKED with everything you could possibly want to know about CinemaScope along with many articles about all the movies filmed in CinemaScope to that time, along with ones in production, and there are many rare photos that have likely not appeared anywhere else!. Marilyn Monroe appears on many of the pages, in her 20th Century Fox movies, and in one funny photo where she is wearing a bathing suit and holding a CinemaScope lens! There are profusely illustrated articles on "The Robe", "How to Marry A Millionaire", "Beneath the 12-Mile Reef", "King of the Khyber Rifles", "Hell and High Water", "River of No Return", "Prince Valiant", "Night People", "Demitrius and the Gladiators", "There's No Business Like Show Business", and "Pink Tights" (described as "A spectacular musical romance of little old New York", with a very sexy image of Marilyn Monroe in a dance hall girl costume). Of course, "Pink Tights" was never made, and "There's No Business Like Show Business" does not mention Marilyn Monroe, so perhaps she was moved into that movie instead.
