STUNNING LARGE WHITING AND DAVIS STATEMENT NECKLACE COLLECTABLEDownsizing many of my vintage pieces that I bought from the USA when postage was a third of the price !!! Whiting and Davis are said to be the oldest makers of costume jewellery in the US. Famous for their metal mesh bags and mesh chains etc (which they invented the machine to make them) their pieces are always quality and now very collectable but I only wore this piece on cruises so in lovely condition. Gold tone is ...still like new and the large stone is very like “tigers eye” and also lovely as is their trademark mesh chain which it hangs from.
The chain measures 20 inches and has a 2 inch extender on it to use if needed.
The central dropper is 2 inches by 1 ½ inches so a good size and has a chain metal fringe of 1 ¼ inch hanging from it.
The hook clasp has two arrow head shaped pieces with the WHITING AND DAVIS LOGO on both. It will come in the box which is not the original I believe but fits in it well to keep it protected when not being worn. Will only increase in value but it does need to be worn and I have too much in my collection now to do this regularly
