Here is a nice 1976-1977 Vintage Fenwick HMG G145 out of my personal collection. This Fenwick HMG Graphite G145 Spinning Rod is an Ultralight 1 Piece Rod and just 4 1/2' long. This rod comes with the Fenwick Aluminum Storage Tube & Original Green Nylon Rod Sock. The Fenwick G145 weighs just 1 3/8 oz (39 grams). and length is 4 1/2' (137 cm)... The G145 labeling shows 1/16 - 1/4 oz lures and 1 -4 lb.Line....The G145 is also clearly marked Made in USA ... This G145 is in nice lightly... used condition! The Fenwick G145 is considered by many to be the finest production Ultralight Rod ever produced and are highly sought after. This Vintage Fenwick G145 has the Tennessee style Handle with Sliding Ring Reel Seat. The G145 is a beautifu factory built Ultralight Spinning rod just 4'6" on a High Modulus Graphite Fenwick Mahogany colored Blank and uses new for the period Single Foot Ceramic Guides and Ceramic Tip-Top. The G145 Guides are wrapped in a Mahogany colored thread and tipped in a Tan/Orange thread which shows beautifully against the beautiful Brown/Mahogany HMG Blank. The G145 is MADE IN USA and shows Serial Number "P376651" with the "P" indicating 1976-1977 production. The G145 is difficult to find in the early American made version and even harder to find Serial Numbered & complete with the Original Green Nylon Rod Sock and Aluminum Fenwick HMG Storage Tube. This rod shows nicely and has been well cared for. The Cork Handle shows sone light soiling that could likely be cleaned up but I didn't want to clean the Cork as it has the Original Fenwick decal installed at the factory showing the Rod came with the Sock & Tube when new. Most of these decals were removed when these rods were new. This one is still on the cork! The Guides and Wraps show nicely as does the HMG rod blank. There is some light wear on the specification decal and some light handling wear but overall a very nice rod with all markings present and legible. This G145 is from my personal collection and is a nice rod. The Original HMG Aluminum Storage Tube is nice although the tube could stand some polishing if you want the Aluminum Tube to be super shiny. This is a great find. This is a wonderful rod to collect or fish!! Shipping will be $22 in the lower 48 States and the Rod, Sock & Tube will all be placed in another heaviy cardboard tube or box and will be carefully packaged and shipped insured with tracking.
