One 4” x 5” Tin Stencil
One 2 1/4” x 2 3/4” Copper Stencil
Two 1 3/4” x 2 1/4” Copper Stencils
Included is the original envelope also.
Young European women and housewives received pillowcases , shams , sheets , tableclothes, napkins , nightdresses , linens and other laundries from their family and kinship. The monogam stencil was placed in position atop the fabr...ic to be embroidered . Blue ink was brushed or dabbed over the monogram to mark the fabric. The blue can often be seen on old pieces that have not been laundered. The ink comes out after washing.
This set is in wonderful condition for its age.
