This dress is GORGEOUS!!! It belonged to my mother who wore it only once. I forget what occasion she bought it for but it ended up in the back of her closet for years. Despite outgrowing it, she still kept it because it was (according to her) "too beautiful to get rid of."
The fabric is like a natural muslin, with chiffon-y sleeves, beautiful embroidery and the trim seems like it might be jute....
It's a size 9 ... but please refer to my measurements and photos. I put the dress on to help with sizing. I am 5'4" and about 128 lbs. You can tell from the pics it's snug in the best. It's not stretchy, although since it's an empire waist, it's very accommodating to more weight around the middle.
I laid this out flat and these are the best of my measurement skills. If you need me to remeasure or measure another part, just let me know.- about 14-1/2" under the bust
- 17" from armpit to armpit (measured from the front) and 16-1/2" (measured from the back)
- 13" across the top of the shoulder sleeve across to the other one
- 17" (measured from the back) from one side of the tie to the other.
There are a few spots on the fabric that I almost didn't even notice. Please check the photos. I don't think would be difficult to get out.
There's also once little area by the bust that I found where there's some separation of the stitching. Only found this with my face right up in it. Other than these totally minor condition issues -- to me, this dress is virtually MINT.
I wish that it fit me because I'd look like a Boho princess in it. It doesn't look like much on the hanger but once on -- it's magical. Long wispy hair, a crown of flowers.... you could get married in this dress.
This comes from a smoke-free home :)
