EXTREMELY RARE 1918 - D STANDING LIBERTY QUARTER CUD

The piece being offered is an extremelyrare 1918-D Standing Liberty Quarter with a large cud on the obverse. Itis one of two different cuds reported for this date and mintmark. The die break on this one is at 7:00 on theobverse. It is an extremely nice piece withpale gold toning and a good bit of luster. I would grade it an XF+. However, as you know grading is subjective, so please look at the photos and you be the judge. It also h...as a large die crack across the dateand another on the reverse that extends from the “I” of “UNITED” to the “M” of “AMERICA.” The 1918-Dcud is extremely tough to find. I have only run across two examples inalmost twenty years of searching. The1918-D cud is listed in Standing Liberty Quarter Varieties and Errors (2ded.) as K-0264.
