Penol was Christian Olsen’s own brand that became immensely popular in Denmark and soon proved to be a market leader that equalled ...Parker in the number of sold pens. The name is a portmanteau (a linguistic blend of two or more words) of “Penna” (Danish for “pen”) and “Olsen”.Penol Ambassador line-up were introduced in c. 1942 and the pen listed in this auction dates to mid 30s. This is a mid-30s Penol button Filler made in c. 1930s. Description/item conditionThe pen is a button filler and it is made of green-black marbled celluloid. The trim (clip and bands) are gold filled and show some normal wear consistent with age. The pen’s condition can be described as good overall, with some signs of normal use. All in all, a nice and presentable pen that would make a great daily user. Filling systemButton filler. Use the button (located under the barrel end cap) to fill. Press the button 4-5 times to draw ink from the bottle. Wipe the pen point and replace the barrel end. Nib14k Penol Olsen nib. Medium (M) nib with a tad of flex (M - B) and nice ink shading. Would make a nice daily writer.
