Super-8 Color Sound 50' reel containing the trailer for Kubrick's monumental classic 2001: A Space Odyssey. The film has no splicing or scratches. I unrolled a few feet of the film and the color looks decent to me. HAL 9000 says "Dave you must buy this film"NOTE: HAL 9000 visible in the picture is NOT included. You are bidding on the super 8 film and box. This film comes from a collection of 8mm and Super 8 digest films that my deceased brother and I put together in the 1970s and early... 80s. I will be listing these starting today and over the next several weeks. Most of them are genre films. My brother was mostly into horror and I was the science fiction & fantasy guy. I was/am a huge Ray Harryhausen fan and there will be some nice copies of his work. There are also some biblical epic type films (appealed to my fantasy gene as well) . My brother and I took very good care of these over the years. They were stored under good conditions for that time and are in the best possible condition that they could be for movies that were watched and loved. We never spliced any of these and almost none would have lines - especially the 400 foot ones. The color may be going a little red on some of them, but the last time many were watched color was still nice. As much as I love them, it's time to let them go and hopefully be appreciated by someone else as much as we did. From a smoke-free, pet-free home. Please keep looking.
