There is NO RESERVE on this stunning and rare pair (2) of Art Deco 1930's modernistic horse head Syroco bookends from San Francisco Estate. Made by Syroco Wood Co., New York. Circa 1930's. They are very cool. This wonderful pair of horses have a modernistic design with geometric shapes. The overall measurement is 6-1/2" tall, 4-1/2" wide, and 4" deep. They are made of Syroco wood composition material with a golden bronze finish on a metal... base. There are no signatures or manufacture marks that we could find, but it looks like there was a paper label on the back of one of the bookends. The condition is amazingly very good - shows wear and there is a chip on one bookend (see picture). There are no other chips, breaks, or repairs. The estimated value was $125.00 according to the estate. This fabulous pair of deco horses came from an estate in San Francisco, and are vintage. They have a great deco look - very modernistic and unique. Pictures don't do them justice. They are truly a quality set, and would make a wonderful addition to someone's collection.
