In 1936 was created the famous lottery author's . It was only once a year that the first winner was given a block of flats and the proceeds were intended for the journalists' fund.
In 1945, editors of daily newspapers (president Apang. Manganaris) who did not register by ESIEA established the Association of Greek Press Journalists (ESAT). It is the 1935 Press Journalists Association, which has changed its name to include editors of the daily press. The ESAT was dissolved in 1967 with the imposition of the military dictatorship. The revision of the statute of 1973, which was drafted in the spirit of the New Democracy. 1004/1971 "On the journalistic profession" of the dictatorship, was the central theme of the first post-dictatorial assemblies. The new statute of the Union, which is still in force, was approved by the Athens Court of First Instance in 1979. One of the most successful projects in support of the Union's financial resources was the Synod Lost (Lacheion Syntakton = Λαχειο Συντακτων) , which was a major resource for editorial associations of the whole of Greece. The AN. 339/1936 "On state lotteries" provided the Union with the "exceptional" ability to carry out a lottery in favor of its purpose, a right enshrined in later legislative acts (such as Law 1093/1938 and Law 3616 / 1956). Following the abolition of the League of Editors by the dictatorship, the journalistic medical and insurance organization EDOEAP (Law 248/1967, similar actions were made in 1938, 1947 and 1956) on medical and health care and safety of members and their relatives, the Union's long-standing pursuance since its inception.
