American Glory Applique Quilt made from a Paragon kit is beautifully executed in solid red, green print, and yellow calico on solid ecru ground. The kit was produced in the early 1960s and included the fabrics needed for the appliqué design as well as the solid ecru base for the quilt that was stamped with the pattern for appliquéing and markings to guide the hand quilting. The back of the quilt is solid ecru cotton. The batting is cotton. The binding is the green print used in the b...ody of the quilt. The quilt is 81 inches by 97 inches and fits well on a full size bed, or it will be a wonderful quilt displayed on a wall or folded on a sofa or quilt rack. The colors in this quilt are still vivid and the quilt is in good condition, with minimal staining (the majority of which is shown in pictures), but no rips or tears..The areas of discoloration will likely come out when hand-washed and laid out in sun to dry. I only unfolded this piece recently as it has been in storage from my mother-in-law's estate.
