Rare Vintage Heath Ceramics Platter in "Sarape" Glaze13 1/2" Coupe 1 1/4" tallMarked "Heath Made in USA"Special Glaze techniques were the specialty of Lawrence Wing, the expert for the Sonoma and Sarape glazes, especially "Sarape".The glazer drew sweeping lines by using a squeeze bottle, which might sound simple but took careful training and ...practice to do it just right. Moonstone was the underlying glaze with a band of Opal Pacific with streaks of Dinnerware Purple and Raspberry.Goes with sooo much!In excellent vintage condition. There are 2 manufacturing skips, one on the rim and one on the face of the platter. These are common and part of the charm of these unique hand made platters, no two pieces are alike.There are no chips or cracks, a very sound piece, perfect for entertaining or just admiring!
