Aunt Jemima 1952 1) photo Quaker cereal box Sgt Preston display #8
$5.00
THIS LISTING IS FOR ONLY ONE PHOTO IN THE PICTURE UNLESS SPECIFIED OTHERWISE. Why do I show the entire scrapbook page with multiple photos? Because it's important from a historical perspective to see the way the salesman organized these photos back in the 1950s. I am tired of people who DO NOT READ THE TITLE OR DESCRIPTION so this is for them, right up front... where you can't miss it.Click HERE to see all my listings for Aunt Jemima, Ken-L-Ration and other Quaker food related items. In the mid 90s I bought a 1952-1960 personal archive from a guy who was a regional salesman for Quaker Oats and Aunt Jemima products. He traveled around Iowa setting up promotional appreances for a "real" Aunt Jemima to appear for a community Free Pancake Day. He took photos to document his job which contain amazing images of old grocery store interiors and displays as well as the AJ Pancake Days where long lines of white people stood in line for free pancakes. PLEASE READ THIS CAREFULLY BEFORE BUYING- If the item in this listing was glued into the photo album, I will indicate it in the description below. Also unless indicated otherwise, this listing is for ONE item regardless of what is shown in the picture ! Rulers are in all the pictures to indicate size. Some photos show camera flash glare or other surface "illusions" caused by me taking the photo that do not actually exist on the item or are greatly exaggerated in my photo. DESCRIPTION OF WHAT'S FOR SALE IN THIS LISTING: taken at various locations like Sheldon, Iowa Falls, Thompson, Iowa in 1952 at various stores by Quaker rep Fred Fenchel. This photo has been glued into album and upon removal now has large black paper spots stuck permanently on the back. ONE PHOTO--upper middle on album page shows the backs of a lot of Quaker cereal boxes advertising a camping equipment offer that (I think ) was for Sgt Sergeant Preston. Excellent condition from the front, keep in mind back has original black photo album paper stuck on back..AJ1952-t6 ___________________________________________
