Here's a neat old trencher, or dough, bowl that I acquired from a local estate. Unfortunately, I have no provenance for the bowl. It appears very old to me and the wood seems to be unusual with the black spots/streaks through it. The bowl has a lot of "character" and patina.There's a lot of wear on the ends where one would hold onto it, and there's an area that has been chewed by some type of "critter". If only this bowl could talk!!The bowl measures approximately 22" long, 14 3/4..." wide, and 3 7/8" tall. It weighs 5 lb 5 oz unpackaged.Other than the wear around the rim I don't see any structural damage. The finish is dry and spotty but I've left it "as found" to be treated as the buyer prefers.Please feel free to email with any questions prior to bidding or buying.
