Victorian Antique White Embroidered Net Lace Large Shawl Collar Cape Fichu Pelerine
This Victorian era antique white embroidered net lace large shawl collar cape fichu pelerine dates from 1900. It is made of a white embroidered net lace with tiny Swiss dots, floral vine leaf designs, drawn cutwork and connecting thread picot ornamented bars. This lovely lace large shawl collar cape capelet style fichu pelerine dress trim has a scalloped lace trim bottom, ...edging, an open front with no closure and is sheer, unlined. The cape measures 22 inches long, 18 inches across the back, 110 inch bottom circumference and a 20 inch neck. It is in good as-is condition, has not been laundered, with a few tiny rust stains on the back neck and some small frayed holes scattered on the net fabric (see close-ups). This is truly an exquisite piece of antique Victoriana lace wearable art!
