Up for Auction...Two Pigeon Forge Pottery Wind ChimesMeasuring 3-3/4" tall and 4-1/4" in diameter at the bottoms, these two bell wind chimes are from a larger collection of vintage Pigeon Forge Pottery. As noted above, the pottery bells and light stone clappers are in good condition. However, the chains need repair, and the weighted pendants need to be replaced. I assume these probably had flat copper pieces with some weight that also caught the wind as the original ...pendants. The chimes were clearly used outside because they have some discoloration spots and dirt on them. I soaked them and got some of the accumulated dirt off of them, but they could use another scrubbing if you want perfectly clean, indoor pieces. Even though needing repair, I decided to list them because both have Doug Ferguson's initials and they were clearly hand-turned by him. Currently, the green and natural bell makes a better ringing sound. The brown one has a duller, klanking sound, but I wonder if the sound might improve with either a shorter interior chain for the clapper or with the weighted pendant replaced.The pieces will be carefully bubblewrapped and double-boxed together for safer shipping.Please see my other listings for more Pigeon Forge Pottery from the same collection; there are a few pieces left.
