BORN CHRISTINE ROSAMOND PRESCO in 1947 in California Rosamond was a self taught artist famous for her use of negative or open space and the predominance of women as her art subjects. Rosamond was a shy individual and her art was the way she communicated a self-portrait of thoughts and feeling about her life and times. Her portraits show great expression and beauty and wonderful eyes. She became an instant success in the early 70's and inspired a generation of expressionistic art lovers.... These pictures are from her very early work.
She died an accidental tragic death at a young age.
These two framed open framed lithographs - "Simone" (white hat) and "Blue Ice" are 9"W x 11H" framed dimension and the matted picture is 5"W x 7"H. The frames are attractive green marble color. The matting around the lithograph is 1-1/4" around the picture. The backing is paper with a wall hangar at the top. The pictures were professionally framed by OLD AMERICA STORE.
Note: 1) Simone has a small burn hole on the backing paper near the frame - it cannot be seen when the picture is hanging. 2) Blue Ice has a small paper tear on the backing paper near the top of the frame - it cannot be seen when the picture is hanging.
The two professionally framed, matted, and glassed (clear plastic) lithographs are sold as a set. They are in very good condition and would make a wonderful gift, decoration, or display for anyone who loves artistic talent and classy women with beautiful eyes.
