I recently had the priveledge of buying a watchmakers and jewelers collections of watches and watch parts. One was a certified rolex repairman and he had a few nice watches and watch parts. The other was a WOSTEP Graduate and brought a great many things home from work. I will be selling some of these pieces this week and weeks to come. Here are some specifics about this watch:Brand: Frodsham Watch Co ( I think this looks like a Longines Movement )Model: Art deco... 17 jewelEra: Art deco periodRunning Condition: This watch movement is untested, The balance rotates freely as it should. Selling as is for parts or repair.
Condition/Notes: Selling as is for parts or repair. Dial plate diameter is 22mm Dial is about 26mm x 22mm. Unsure of the connection to Longines, but it sure looks like a Longines movement to me* Denotes current condition. The service history of this watch is unknown to me unless I state otherwise. Therefore you should expect to service this watch if you are a responsible collector. Often times these watches have been forgotten in a jewelers desk or in a back room for 30 plus years. I like to save them from that demise and get them back into the hands of collectors. It doesn't take very long for old gummy oil to stop a movement from running ( many times just a week or so ) or even worse if the oil is dried out it might not take too long for the watch to grind itself up inside. This is not specific to my watches, but to all that have not been serviced in the last few years. For this reason we only wind a watch a few turns to verify if it will go through the paces, so please understand I can only tell you if the watch is running here. I am not putting a guarantee on the performance of a watch in reguards to timing or longevity. Thanks for looking.
