This auction is for an uncommon and unusual circa late-1920s Elgin Helbros wristwatch. It has a 14k yellow and white two-tone gold-filled case with fantastic Art Deco styling. The blue and green enamel in the white gold-filled bezel very distinctive and truly striking. I would say the case is in very good condition, with no loss of enamel and not much wear. The caseback appears in very good condition as well, with no evidence of wearing through. I beli...eve this watch would make an excellent candidate for restoration. The crystal is missing. The dial is very interesting and appears engraved as well. The watch has a 15-jewel Swiss movement. It winds and sets and runs. Although running, the service history is unknown and the buyer should assume the movement will require service. This watch measures 30mm wide (at its widest point including the crown and 37mm from lug tip to lug tip. Please study the photographs carefully.
