In the windswept countryside near post-war Nuremberg, medieval torture is coming back into fashion. Young Mary Hunter (Rossana Podesta) finds herself the new mistress of her husband'...s ancestral estate, an ancient castle which houses a sinister history of brutal torture and death. Within the dank stone walls lives the eternal spectre of 'The Punisher', a maniac infamous for his diabolical and savage persecution of young women (R. Kelly take note). The only escape from the excruciating horror implemented by The Punisher is death - to face the Virgin of Nuremberg, to become entombed in its rusty innards.
