Offered for auction is a scale model of the Explorer 18 Satellite, made by Hawk Models in 1968.
This 51-YEAR OLD... MODEL is COMPLETE and NEAR MINT IN THE BOX, with all but a couple of the parts still attached to the trees! The parts that are off the trees are packed in a zip lock bag inside the box.
This injection molded kit includes parts molded in black plastic, 4 metal parts (the solar collectors), 4 metal wires for the antennae (these are taped to the instructions), a sheet of decals, and assembly instructions. The box is in good condition with light wear from age and storage, which includes general wear from stacking.
