This is coming from a group of trains that were purchased from a dealer at train shows. Each had a small card listing something unique to each individual train. I have no idea if any of this is true. Additionally, the man made notations on the inside of each box flap indicating the original purchase price. This one was purchased for $190 in 1983. The box has general wear and some old tape residue to the front.Tonight I am listing a large lot of postwar and modern Lionel trains comi...ng from an estate collection. These belonged to a man who never married or had kids and spent most of his money buying trains his entire life. He had several rooms in his home decidated to his train collection. He purchased many of them from private dealers by mail or at trade shows. In the 1980s and 1990s he was buying trains new, but would never take them out of the box. He was an engineer by trade, so I can only assume he took good care of these trains mechanically. It has been a bit overwhelming trying to get this collection up for auction, so please email me questions or corrections. This entire collection all came from the same place, but things can get mixed up when moving so many items. I am not a train expert, so please view the photos and place your bids accordingly.If any of the lots appear to be missing parts, etc., then I probably still have associated items unlisted.
