Marusan Grumman F6F-5Hellcat model kit (#465). Marusan Shotenwas one of the first Japanese plastic kit companies. This kit was issued in the 1960’s. 1/100 scale. Parts, decals and Japanese instructions are inplastic bag. The photos show the twosides of the single bag of parts. Thekit is assumed to be complete. Theplane has not been assembled or painted. Small box (6½” x 3¼” x ¾”) is in very good condition with nodamage.&nbs...p; Boxart with bright colors.
This kit is from theMichael Kellogg collection. Michaelpassed away in 2015. Michael was an avidcollector of early plastic aircraft model kits by Japanese manufacturers. His collection (which includes Marusan, Sanwa, Kogure, Otaki, Sankyo, Tokyo Plamo, etc.) was recognized in the CraigKodera book “Collecting Vintage Plastic Model Airplane Kits.” Over the next few months, we will be offeringparts of Michael’s collection.
