Genuine Sterling silver nurses belt buckle which dates to late 19thC, fully hallmarked with the Lions head for London Assay office, P in a shield and W.C. which is most likely William Comyns & Sons, this was taken from the assay office so please check to be certain. There have been two professional repairs in the past which are shown and hence the low starting price, however, it still displays well and could be used if wished.The buckle is extremely elaborate and has dancing p...utti, Neptune riding a dolphin and other features typical of the Victorian period.Dimensions:The length of the buckle is an approximate 130 mmThe width is approximately 66mmand the depth an approximate 6mmPhotographed on non precision or industry scales but are reasonably accurate to be used as a guide and cannot be taken as completely 100%.
