This is a beautiful vintage Maya de Mexico pure silk hand painted skirt. I'm guessing it's from the 50s but I don't know for sure. Beautiful red & orange flowers with green leaves are painted onto a black background, which fades into a black speckled with white near the waist and at the hem. The size on the tag says 14.
This skirt twirls and whirls and is a blast to wear! I've only ever worn it a few times myself. It mostly hung in my closet, but it's really time for it to get o...ut there to someone who will enjoy it to the fullest.
Waist: 27-30, depending on if you add/replace the thread loops and/or how much you tighten the ties. There's 1-2 inches of space to add more thread loops.
Length: 34.5
One of the thread loops is hanging on by a thread (HA). The tops of either side of the skirt have been sewn up again; please see the photos.
