Here we have for auction an F.T. Williams & Co 4" Combination Fishing Reel...
Beautifully marked handles which turn freely set to the faceplate.Screw set blue steel pawl, steel calliper to brass plate.German nickel rim to ebonite backplate, ebonite spool & flange.Brass starback & un-filed brass foot.Brass 3 screw Slater latch connecting as it should, brass core to spool, steel check gear.Turns very freely without bind or rub - good spinner!With the check ch...eck engaged it sounds a delightful click on the turn - good check!Free from line grooves, corrosion, fractures or wobble...small repair to rim as per pictures.Retaining the original finish very well...Stamped to the face F.T. Williams & Co Makers 10 Gt Queens St Lincoln's Inn Fields London. Cleaned, lubricated & oiled...ready for the rod!Lovely piece of angling history!All as per pictures!
