Here for your consideration, a really lovely high quality Early Vintage "BLACKBIRD" Self-Filling, Fountain Pen ........ manufactured by MABIE. TODD & CO. LTD, England early 1920's. ...in beautiful Black Chased Hard Rubber with Gold Plated trim...

The condition is overall "Very Good+" ...all in really good order...

The Cap is in beautiful condition...the chasing is still very good... ...The colour has not discoloured and is still black......It has the clear imprint "BLACKBIRD" around it's top...
This is a Clipless Cap..it has never had one.....it has no cracks or breaks..... It screws on and posts nice and securely on to the Barrel.______________
The "medium " tipped Flexible 14Ct Nib is in very good condition...the tines are well aligned and the nib writes very well....
Nice flex.... Medium to around Double broad ... with a nice iridium tip... the Nib writes well.
It is marked.....

The Feed is in very good condition...it has the clear imprint..BB SF3
The Hard Rubber Section is also in excellent condition .....It again, has the crisp imprint BLACKBIRD________________
The Barrel is in very beautiful condition...again, still very black in colour...the chasing is very good... the imprint is "Excellent" and clearly reads....

This is a "LEVER-FILLER" Fountain Pen....the lever filling system is working well... the sturdy Nickel plated Lever is in excellent condition.

This beautiful early "BLACKBIRD" Self-Filling Fountain pen has a high quality feel to it...in great condition for its age...just as one expects from the great MABIE. TODD Company......ideal as an everyday useable pen or as a great addition to a collection.____________
The pen has been Fully-Serviced, Re-sac'd and finally, given a light polish with Renaissance wax.__________
