This is the original P.T. Barnum's Delight from Collectors Workshop. And before I go any further, yes, it's the finicky model. But's it's also a shining example of the genius of the human brain (or at least the brains at CW). This is a mechanical marvel! There's so much going on inside this unit, I'm amazed at the complexity of its parts.
This was purchased from Kenna Thompson a few years back in non-working condition. Since then, the motor has been replaced and the whole unit... readjusted and fitted with an adjustable stand. It works as it should, but it's just as finicky as it was the day it was born. I consider this a collector's piece, as opposed to a performance unit. If you win the auction, of course, that choice is yours, but know that it will take some time to get to know the prop and all of its fine-tuning adjustments.

Please note that I don't accept returns on magic items, as the value lies in the secret of the prop. Please do not bid if you think you might get frustrated simply trying to operate this unit. It takes some time to learn it and understand its timing and adjustment. I'm happy to speak with the winning bidder after they receive to walk them through the set-up if desired.

Effect: Magician has a spectator choose a card and return it to the deck. He then displays a small table with 3 balloons attached - a red, a white, and a blue. Telling the spectator that they can choose any balloon they'd like to have their card appear inside, the magician gets flustered when the red balloon suddenly flies off the table and around the room. Gathering his composure, the magician allows the spectator to choose one of the 2 remaining balloons, but as soon as the words have come out of his mouth, the blue balloon deflates on the table. Since only the white balloon remains, the magician seems proud when it suddenly bursts and the spectator's chosen card is seen standing in its place! At the same time, a banner drops from the bottom of the table with "APPLAUSE" on a small plaque. Then, the top pops open and 2 American flags spring up to complete the patriotic display!
