This auction is for an early used tin litho working friction powered aircraft with box. It is identified as KLM-Royal Dutch Airlines, Douglas DC-7C. Usagiya (Japan) manufactured the early toy. Usagiya logo and Made in Japan are identified on the box top and right rear of the aircraft. The lithography on the red, white, blue and silver aircraft is very nice. The overall measurements are 10” from nose to tail, wingspan 12” (wings are d...etachable), and 3 ¼” in height. The aircraft is also identified as PH-DSF on top left wing and right rear. The friction powered mechanism works as it should to move the aircraft forward and spin the four plastic propellers. The plane is in nice vintage condition. There are minor flecks, edge wear and scratches with missing paint. The 11 ¼” x 3 ¼” x 3” box has wonderful graphics and bright and bold colors. The box lid has creases, edge wear, light crushing, corner bumps and punctures, with missing paper. The bottom box has been replaced. This a very nice vintage Japanese-made boxed used toy aircraft. It displays nicely and is being sold as described. As with all vintage collectible items, buyer has fourteen day return privilege with buyer paying return shipping.
