NOTE: This is an authentic 1991-1992 officially licensed GDM vintage Grateful Dead tour t-shirt. It is not one of these fake “reprint” shirts all over ebay these days.
Hello. For your consideration is this brand new old stock Grateful Dead GDM licensed, 1992 copyrighted, vintage tour t-shirt. It is venue and date specific. This is the extremely rare New Year’s Eve 12/31/91 t-shirt from the Oakland Coliseum Arena in Oakland CA. This was a 4-night New Year’s run, but this shi...rt is specific to the New Year’s Eve concert. This shirt is super rare! This also marks the last Grateful Dead New Year’s run of shows. It was a somber moment without Bill Graham there to ring in the New Year, and the single song encore was an appropriate, “Knockin’ on Heaven’s Door”. There is a video of the countdown on youtube, that is noticeably and sorrowfully missing Uncle Bobo. He had passed away in a helicopter accident about two months prior. Despite this, it was a great concert! Check the set list below....more importantly, checkout the show on the archive or relisten. It is a terrific concert!This shirt is a size XL and measures 23 inches across the chest and 31 1/2 inches in length. It is new old stock, and has never been worn or washed. There are no rips tears, holes or stains. There is a couple spots of purple dye, on the inside of the shirt near the tag (see photo 8). These small dots of purple on a purple area, do not show through to the other side, so they really are not flaws. This shirt is awesome and has been collected and preserved as a collectable for decades. It has been neatly folded and sealed in a zip lock bag stored inside a sealed plastic tote with other collected GD tour shirts. Amazingly rare Grateful Dead New Year’s Eve tour t-shirt from December 31, 1991!
