Vintage Venetian Ribbed Opalino Art Glass Lamp

Up for sale is this fabulous, vintage Murano art glass lamp. Please excuse the glare in the photos. This lamp is made up of ribbed opaline white art glass. The base and cap have a gilt finish. The lamp is approximately 34 inches tall to the top of the finial. This does not have a shade. To the top of the socket, the lamp is about 23 1/4 inches tall. At the wi...dest point, the lamp has a width of approximately 6 1/2 inches. The glass is in two sections, with a total height of about 14 1/8 inches. Unpacked, the lamp weighs 6 pounds 14.9 ounces. It accepts one light bulb. It has green felt beneath. This vintage lamp would be a gorgeous addition to a glam Hollywood regency style decor, or it would look superb with midcentury modern furnishings.
Identification
This lamp is made from Italian glass, circa mid-20th century. The glass is unsigned, but it is possibly Seguso of Murano, Italy.
Condition
The lamp looks very good overall, with light wear. The glass has no chips or cracks. The base, cap, and brass parts have light wear. The green felt beneath has minor losses. The lamp works. As with all used electrical items, this should be inspected or rewired by a professional before use, even though the visible electrical components look okay cosmetically. Please review the photos, and ask any questions you may have prior to bidding or buying.
Terms of Sale
1. Sales Tax
Before merchandise is shipped to a California address (or picked up or delivered within California), sales tax will be collected, unless the buyer provides a properly completed and valid California resale certificate form by mail (or in person, in the case of pick up or delivery). No exceptions.
2. Payments
The buyer must prepay before merchandise is released. The correct shipping address be included with payment. Contact the seller in advance of bidding or buying to find out about accepted payment methods for local pick ups or deliveries. Payments must be received within three days of the end of the listing, unless prior arrangements have been made.
3. Shipping and Handling
Good packaging is included; double-boxing is not included. Framed art will not be shipped unframed. The seller typically ships on Mondays and Thursdays, unless a holiday or special circumstance precludes it. The merchandise will be shipped on the seller's next shipping day after payment clears. The seller is not responsible for the transit time once the merchandise has been accepted by the shipping carrier.
Economy shipping within the U.S. includes delivery to a physical address via an economy shipping method of the seller's choice. At the discretion of the seller, a faster shipping method may be utilized at no additional cost to the buyer. If the buyer prefers a different shipping method other than that chosen by the seller, or if delivery is to a post office box, additional shipping and handling costs may be required. For domestic parcels, a signature will be required for delivery if the total payment is $750 or greater; at the discretion of the seller, a signature may be required for delivery if the total payment is less than $750.
If international shipping is available, this will be indicated on the "Shipping and Payments" tab. International shipping is not free for the buyer and shipping costs are not negotiable. Shipping quotes must be requested prior to all international bidding or buying. The seller will determine the international shipping method(s). Some merchandise may be too large to be shipped to certain countries. Some countries have restrictions or prohibitions on certain classes of merchandise. The seller will only use legal shipping methods. Customs forms will not be falsified.
International buyers, please note: Import duties, taxes and charges are not included in the item price or shipping charges. These charges are the buyer's responsibility. Please check with your country's customs office to determine what these additional costs will be prior to bidding or buying. These charges are normally collected by the delivering freight (shipping) company or when the item is picked up; do not confuse them for additional shipping charges. The seller does not mark merchandise values below value or mark items as gifts. U.S. and international government regulations prohibit such behavior.
4. Other Information
The seller makes every attempt to provide an accurate description and photos. Individual computers may display colors differently.
