Up for bid is an antique Simon & Halbig Santa Doll (?) 1248 from Germany. This doll has a socket head with bisque face, glass green eyes with lashes. The lashes appear shorter in one eye. An open mouth reveals 4 teeth, pierced ears without earrings, light feathered brows, dimpled chin with small dirt smudge. In addition this item has a composition body with jointed knees, hips, elbows and shoulders. Included is an auburn ringlet wig, black velvet coat with orange lining that has la...rge buttons and pockets, hat with flowers and netting and faux fur wrap. Dress lining is in bad shape. This beautiful delicate doll is 19" tall. The composition body is in good condition with no breaks or obvious cracks, but does have a few small nicks or scrapes. She could use a minor clean up. This doll does not come with underwear, socks or shoes. Stand not included. I believe there is a hairline crack on the upper left portion of the forehead, a light test does not reveal this but can be seen at angles from the front. The velvet coat is experiencing slight shedding. I am not an expert so Please ask any questions and review pictures carefully, all sales are final.
