Up for auction is a tin friction late 1950's Lincoln convertible car with driver and dog made by Ichiko of Japan. The car measures 7 1/4 inches or a little over 18 centimeters long. It is complete and original and in excellent condition. The soft sky blue paint is in very good condition with no touch ups or repairs.. There are a couple of runs in the paint but it is all original; there are a few small scratches and chips as well. The very detailed chrome trim is in great shape, bright ...and shiny with no areas of corrosion or darkness. The original celluloid windshield is all there with no cracks or breaks although it is pulling away a little at its base. The hubcaps and tires are in excellent condition and the friction motor works very well. The dog bounces up and down with the movement of the friction wheels. There should be a little squeak which is made by a bellows under the seat of the car. As is usual with these cars, the bellows has lost its tension and the squeak no longer happens. Despite these small flaws. this is a wonderful tin friction car in excellent condition, combining a realistic make and model of car with a wonderful human element. I believe this car was called Driving Pet #2, the first version being a Ford convertible with driver and dog and the third being a Kaiser Darrin with the same pair. Thanks for looking!!!! Questions are welcome and I will be happy to provide additional photos. Shipping will be 8.50 in the U.S.; overseas shipping will vary by country and method of shipping. Paypal is preferred for payment and within 48 hours of end of auction, please. Thanks again!!!
