LOVELY ANTIQUE 19TH C MEIJI PERIOD JAPANESE WOODEN KISERUZUTSU PIPE HOLDER NR!
I will be selling a good number of interesting antiques including Tribal art, Chinese and European antiques. PLEASE NOTE: This auction is in GB Pounds Sterling. This is a very attractive antique Japanese kiseruzutsu made of two incredibly thin sections of wood with carved and painted / lacque...red designs. It has a good patina and is one of a number of pieces of Asian art and other antiques I am selling over the next two days (Thursday 16th and Friday 17th) so please view my other auctions. *Please note the stand is not included. It is my policy not to end standard auctions early with a 'buy it now' and at the end of an auction I will not make second chance offers. Please read down the entire listing for Dimensions, Condition, Postage & Payment Details - most of the information you will need is here on this page but please get in touch if you don't find what you are looking for. Condition & Dimensions

One long old split which has been bound together with string. The smaller section also has a very fine split in the end. Some very old sello-tape on the back of the case which I don't dare remove for fear of damaging the patina. It measures about 21.5cms long when closed.

Postage & Packing

For your peace of mind and mine items will be sent fully insured. I will be posting from WEDNESDAY 29th MAY so please make payment as early as possible, ideally within 3 working days. PLEASE be a little patient with the post - I will get them posted asap but I work on my own, have a large amount to post and I do pack carefully. I also post in the order that things are paid for. My items are located in Belgium but I return to the UK after each set of Ebay sales on business trips and post the majority from the UK. It seems complicated but it makes sense and the Royal Mail and Parcelforce have always worked pretty well for me!Any delays by the postal services either at my end or abroad are rarely my fault. I always post out at the latest 3 working days after receiving cleared payment but sometimes an item is slowed up by a backlog of post or delayed whilst being processed through customs. To give you an idea it generally takes about 3-7 working days within Europe and 7 - 14 working days to the U.S. / rest of the world. If speed is of the essence then I can use a courier (Parcelforce) but prices for couriers start at around £30 / £40GBP for the very smallest object and VERY quickly escalate depending on size, weight and destination. I add on very little, often not enough to cover the packaging materials, so the price I quote really is as fair as possible.

Please enquire with postage queries, requirements or any other questions you may have prior to bidding.***Where possible I will of course combine shipping for multiple purchases (however if, for example, you win a walking stick and a box of some description this wouldn't be very practical!).Payment Details (Important: Please Read)

In the event of a recorded/traceable and insured item going missing in the post I will do everything in my power (provide proof of postage and evidence of value, etc.) to assist in obtaining a full refund from the postal service involved.

***Finally, thank you for taking a look at my auction and please have a look at the other antiques I am auctioning this week including a number of pieces of tribal art including figures from Nigeria, Zulu, Makonde, Nyamwezi and Luba staffs; a good selection of Aboriginal boomerangs; some Japanese and Chinese antiques; several fine European carvings and many more interesting antiques from around the world.***
